Makita LXT218 equipped with a 0.5” hammer driver-drill to delivers high speed and high torque (BHP454Z). This drill features a Makita inbuilt 4-pole motors which result in maximum torque that delivers 360 in.lbs. of PTI Torque in a compact size and 560 in.lbs. of Max Torque.

The Makita LXT218 utilizes the 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Impact Driver. The Driver features a Makita-built 4-pole maximum torque motor that delivers 1,330 in.lbs. of torque, 2,300 RPM, and 3,200 impacts per min for a wide range of fastening tasks. Makita’s proprietary hammer and anvil impact mechanism is manufactured using the best raw materials with the highest quality steel and unique heat hardening process for maximum fastening and driving power.

The BHP454Z also uses the Shift-Lock drive system sleeve that quickly shifts from “hammer drill” to “driver” mode. It also utilizes the 2-speed metal transmission which delivers 0-400 RPM in low speed and 0-1,700 RPM in high. This speed is sufficient enough to covering a wide variant of drilling and driving applications. The BHP454Z has 0-6,000 Blows per Minute (BPM) in low speed and 0-22,500 BPM in high speed for hammer drilling into masonry and concrete.

Makita makes a great 18V impact and hammer drill combo. Best of the cordless combo’s that we have used (dewalt, milwaukee, etc.) These tools take a beating day in and day out, rain or shine.
